MQTT Broker Guide

Connect your Meshtastic node to MQTT

Follow these steps to link your radio to the broker and extend your mesh over the internet.

Verify your connection, check telemetry data and view the map here -> Dashboard

Broker Settings

Host: mqtt.arcyn.com

Encryption: Don't Enable

JSON: Don't Enable (you may not see this optiion)

TLS: Don't Enable

Username: meshuser

Root Topic: msh/US

Use these settings in the Meshtastic app MQTT section. The password is posted on the Discord server.

Setup Steps

1. Open Meshtastic app and connect to your node.
2. Navigate to MQTT settings.
3. Enter broker info and enable MQTT.
4. Enable Upload and Download on your channel settings.
5. Save and reboot node.

If you consent your map packets are sent to the public broker as well

Make sure the Up and Down arrows are active

Click the channel to access this screen and enable upload and download

Troubleshooting

No messages? Check internet, username/password, and broker address.

Make sure you enable MQTT up and down on your channel
